Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 2 February 2026

1. About these terms

These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Clarion Path website and our business validation service. By placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

Clarion Path is operated by Keith Edward Chester MAAT ACMA as a sole trader, with offices at 2 Saltash Road, Swindon. SN2 2EF.

Please read these Terms carefully before placing an order. If you have any questions, contact us at enquiries@clarionpath.co.uk.

2. Our service

Clarion Path provides a business idea validation service. You complete a questionnaire about your business idea, and we produce a comprehensive validation report analysing its viability.

Our reports include market research, competitor analysis, unit economics assessment, risk analysis, and a clear recommendation. Reports are typically 30 or more pages and are delivered as a PDF document to your email address.

2.1 What our service is

  • An analytical assessment of your business idea's viability based on the information you provide and publicly available market data
  • A research and analysis tool to help you make more informed decisions
  • An opinion based on available evidence, not a guarantee of business success or failure

2.2 What our service is not

  • Financial advice — we are not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Our analysis is informational only and should not be treated as financial advice. You should consult a qualified financial adviser before making investment decisions
  • Legal advice — our analysis may reference legal and regulatory considerations but does not constitute legal advice. You should consult a qualified solicitor for legal matters
  • Accounting or tax advice — any financial projections in our reports are estimates for illustrative purposes only. You should consult a qualified accountant for tax and accounting matters
  • A guarantee of accuracy — while we take care to use reliable data sources and sound methodology, we cannot guarantee that all information in the report is accurate, complete, or current

3. Placing an order

To place an order:

  1. Complete our online questionnaire with details about your business idea
  2. Make payment of £175 (inclusive of VAT, if applicable) via our payment processor, Stripe
  3. You will receive an email confirming your order

A binding contract between you and Clarion Path is formed when you complete payment. The contract is for us to produce and deliver a business validation report based on your questionnaire responses.

4. Price and payment

The price for our service is £175 per validation report. This is a one-time payment with no recurring charges.

Payment is processed securely by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card details.

We reserve the right to change our prices at any time, but any price changes will not affect orders that have already been placed and confirmed.

5. Delivery

We aim to deliver your completed validation report to your email address within 48 hours of receiving your completed questionnaire and payment.

In some cases — particularly where the business idea is complex, operates in a highly regulated sector, or requires additional research — delivery may take up to 5 working days. If we anticipate a delay beyond 48 hours, we will notify you by email.

If we are unable to deliver your report within 10 working days, you are entitled to cancel your order and receive a full refund.

6. Your right to cancel (cooling-off period)

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of placing it, without giving any reason.

6.1 Before your report is delivered

If you cancel before we have delivered your report, you will receive a full refund.

6.2 After your report is delivered

Because our service involves the creation of personalised digital content, your cancellation right ends once the report has been delivered. By placing your order, you acknowledge that:

  • We will begin work on your report promptly after receiving your order
  • Once the completed report has been delivered to your email, the cancellation period ends

6.3 Quality guarantee

Separately from your statutory cancellation right, if you are genuinely dissatisfied with the quality of your report, contact us within 14 days of delivery at enquiries@clarionpath.co.uk. We will either revise the report to address your concerns or issue a full refund at our discretion. We take quality seriously and will work to resolve any legitimate complaints.

6.4 How to cancel

To cancel, email us at enquiries@clarionpath.co.uk stating clearly that you wish to cancel your order. Include your name and email address used to place the order. Refunds will be processed within 14 days of your cancellation request, using the same payment method you used to pay.

7. Your responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and truthful information in your questionnaire responses
  • Provide a valid email address to which your report can be delivered
  • Use our service for lawful purposes only

The quality of our analysis depends on the quality of the information you provide. We are not liable for any inaccuracies in our report that result from incomplete or inaccurate information in your questionnaire responses.

8. Intellectual property

8.1 Your business idea

You retain all intellectual property rights in your business idea. Submitting your idea to Clarion Path does not transfer any ownership to us. We will not use, disclose, or act upon your business idea for any purpose other than producing your validation report.

8.2 Your report

Once delivered and paid for, the validation report is yours to use as you wish. You may share it with advisers, investors, partners, or anyone else. We retain no rights over the content of your individual report.

8.3 Our methodology

Our analysis methodology, prompt engineering, systems, and processes remain our intellectual property. Nothing in these Terms grants you rights to our underlying technology or methods.

9. Confidentiality

We treat all questionnaire submissions as confidential. We will not share your business idea, questionnaire responses, or report contents with any third party, except:

  • Our technology service providers (AI APIs, hosting) who process data only to deliver our service, under contractual data protection obligations
  • Where required by law or regulation
  • In anonymised, aggregated form that cannot identify you or your specific business idea (e.g. for service improvement)

10. Limitation of liability

Our reports are analytical opinions based on available information. Business outcomes depend on many factors beyond our analysis, including execution, timing, market conditions, and factors unknown at the time of the report.

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for any business decisions you make based on our report
  • We are not liable for any loss of profit, revenue, anticipated savings, business, or opportunity arising from use of our service
  • Our total liability to you in respect of any order shall not exceed the price you paid for that order (£175)

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by English law.

11. AI-generated content

Our validation reports are produced using artificial intelligence systems, including large language models, with human oversight. While we take steps to ensure quality and accuracy — including multi-stage review processes — AI-generated analysis may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information.

You should treat our reports as one input into your decision-making, not as the sole basis for any business, financial, or legal decision. We recommend verifying any critical data points independently and consulting qualified professionals where appropriate.

12. Referral services

Where our report identifies relevant next steps (such as company formation, accounting, or legal services), we may recommend trusted third-party service providers. If you choose to engage with a referred provider:

  • Any contract you enter into is directly between you and that provider
  • We are not a party to that contract and accept no liability for the provider's services
  • We may receive a referral commission from the provider; this does not affect the price you pay
  • We will only share your contact details with a provider if you explicitly consent at the point of referral

13. Complaints

If you have a complaint about our service, please contact us at enquiries@clarionpath.co.uk. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 2 working days and resolve them within 10 working days.

If we cannot resolve your complaint to your satisfaction, you may be able to use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform or seek advice from Citizens Advice.

14. General

  • Governing law: These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales
  • Entire agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Clarion Path regarding our service
  • Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force
  • No waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right
  • Assignment: You may not transfer your rights under these Terms to anyone else. We may transfer our rights to another organisation if it does not adversely affect your rights

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Changes do not apply retroactively to orders already placed.
