5. International data transfers

Some of our service providers are based outside the United Kingdom, primarily in the United States. When we transfer your data internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place:

  • Transfers to the United States are covered by the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, where the recipient is certified under that framework
  • Where the Data Privacy Framework does not apply, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO)
  • Transfers to the EU/EEA (e.g. Tally, based in Belgium) are covered by the UK adequacy decision for the EEA
